赛程包括3分钟命题演讲和2分钟即兴演讲，今年全国的命题演讲主题源自庄子与惠子“大瓠之种”辩论，即兴演讲竞赛一组的三个题目分别为“Reading Crisis”、“Modern Cities Are For People, Not For Cars”、“When Social Media Integrates Into Friendship”，竞赛二组的题目分别为“Overeating can be as harmful as smoking”、“To work for a big company or to start your own business”、“My view in increasing business and cultural contact between China and other countries”。
